The Assets Recovery Agency in the North has frozen assets equivalent to €440,000.
The agency believes the assets are the proceeds of robberies and burglaries carried out by a gang on the homes of elderly people in rural areas.
Possession has been taken of six homes in Belfast, Lisburn and Co Down, after High Court orders were granted.
The North's Security Minister, Ian Pearson, congratulated the ARA on its work and said this action demonstrated how it was getting to grips with all types of criminal activity.
Mr Pearson said it sent out a clear message to the criminals that there was no hiding place.
