Three teenagers have been before court charged in connection with an assault that has left a Lithuanian man in a critical condition in a Dublin hospital.
The three accused are Leo Connell, Michael Rea and Kevin Dunne. They are each aged 18 and living in Health Board hostels.
Dublin District Court heard that none of the men had anything to say in answer to a charge of assault causing harm following their separate arrests yesterday.
O'Connell and Rea were remanded in custody to appear again in Cloverhill District Court next Monday. Dunne, who had bail fixed at €1,300, will appear on Friday.
The 48-year-old victim, a construction worker, is still in hospital following the attack which occurred at the Royal Canal on Saturday night. Gardaí are still searching for a fourth man in connection with the assault.
