The Defence Forces have acknowledged there is a problem of bullying within their ranks.
The admission came at the publication of a report by an independent monitoring group appointed to monitor sexual harassment, bullying and intimidation.
The group reported that following earlier revelations, the Defence Forces had now accepted there was a problem but recommended a number of changes such as the total separation of punishment from training.
It also recommended a further review in three years time.
