The PDs have attacked the Green Party for suggesting that the State should not try to recover the costs of the latest High Court challenge to the M50 at Carrickmines.
Deputy Fiona O'Malley said Green TD Ciarán Cuffe had said the latest High Court challenger should not be pursued for costs.
She said the public interest is to see the motorway completed, and the taxpayer should not be forced to bear the burden of any additional costs related to the project.
Work was resuming today on the final section of the M50 motorway in Dublin, following yesterday's ruling on the issue.
Conservationists had taken a constitutional action to try to halt work on the site of the ruins in south Co Dublin.
However, Miss Justice Laffoy ruled against each of the three arguments.
The legal team representing the objectors are considering an appeal.
