Workers at the Abbey Theatre in Dublin have said they want an urgent meeting with the Minister for Arts John O'Donoghue.

30 jobs are set to be lost at the national theatre as part of a rescue plan.

The 90-strong staff met trade union officials this evening.

The workers say they are refusing to accept the proposed job losses and maintain that the plan should be withdrawn.
