A car bomb has exploded in the Iraqi town of Baquba, north of Baghdad, killing two Iraqis and wounding at least four.
Police said the target of the attack was the town's deputy mayor, who survived the blast.
His convoy was passing through Baquba as the bomb exploded.
The town has been a hotbed of anti-American resistance.
Last month, at least 68 people were killed when a car bomb exploded outside a police station there.
