A study in the British medical journal, The Lancet, says some US medical staff working in Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq ignored medical ethics and human rights.
The research claims that doctors failed to carry out examinations, falsified death certificates and collaborated with interrogators in the abuse of detainees.
The news comes as US defence officials say two dozen military personnel will be implicated in the long-awaited report on the treatment of detainees in Abu Ghraib prison that will be published next week.
