Ten terror suspects detained indefinitely without charge in Britain have lost an appeal to have their cases re-examined.
Most of the ten, who are all foreign nationals, have been held in prisons since 2001.
Two exercised their option to leave the UK rather than remain in detention.
The Court of Appeal dismissed a request to overturn judgements against them by the Special Immigration Appeals Commission, which allowed them to be held under emergency powers enacted after the 2001 attacks in the United States.
