An armoured convoy carrying Chechnya's pro-Moscow Acting President has been attacked.

Reports say Sergei Abramov escaped injury but a member of his staff was killed when a landmine exploded as the convoy was travelling in Chechnya's regional capital, Grozny.

Two other people were injured.

Abramov took over as interim leader after the pro-Moscow President, Akhmad Kadyrov, was killed by a bomb attack on 9 May during public celebrations.

Elections for a new President are due to be held next month.
