Road block threat ahead of NI parades

In the North, Orangemen have threatened to block main roads in Belfast City tomorrow in protest at restrictions placed at one of their 12 July celebration parades.

In the North, Orangemen have threatened to block main roads in Belfast City tomorrow in protest at restrictions placed at one of their 12 July celebration parades.

Orangemen want all bandsmen to be allowed parade home to their north Belfast base.

However, the Parades Commission has made a controversial decision allowing just lodge members to return home along their route.

Northern Secretary Paul Murphy has appealed for calm during the celebrations.
