AIB sets €50 million aside for overcharging

AIB is to provide €50 million in its annual accounts to cover the cost of its investigations into overcharging on foreign exchange transactions.

AIB is to provide €50 million in its annual accounts to cover the cost of its investigations into overcharging on foreign exchange transactions.

The figure includes €25 million already lodged with the Central Bank. AIB said it believes this should be enough to reimburse customers.

Meanwhile, AIB says it's expecting double digit profit growth this year.
