The Green Party has urged undecided voters to vote 'No' in this week's citizenship referendum.

Speaking at a press conference in Dublin today, the party's MEP, Patricia McKenna, said the proposed amendment to the Constitution was unclear and unnecessary.

Ms McKenna said if passed the amendment would affect the most vulnerable in society, namely children.

The Green Party says the electorate is confused because of a deliberate Government strategy to rush through the amendment.
