Climbers stranded on Kerry mountain

Twenty members of the Kerry Mountain Rescue Team have been involved in an operation to reach two climbers stranded on a ledge on Carrauntoohil.

Twenty members of the Kerry Mountain Rescue Team have been involved in an operation to reach two climbers stranded on a ledge on Carrauntoohil. 

The climbers were uninjured and raised the alarm by mobile phone. 

It was expected the climbers, who are not believed to be from the area, would be lowered to safety by harness.
