The US President, George W Bush, is under pressure to publish a secret memo sent to him a month before the 11 September attacks in 2001.
The existence of the document, indicating that al-Qaeda was determined to attack the United States, was revealed yesterday when Mr Bush's national security adviser, Condoleezza Rice, testified before the commission investigating the attacks.
Democratic politicians have joined the commission in demanding that the memo be declassified, but Republicans have dismissed the calls.
