Five charged with terrorist offences

Five men, arrested in a series of anti-terror raids in the southeast of England last week, have been charged with terrorist offences, Scotland Yard said yesterday evening.

Two other men were released.

The arrests came as half-a-ton of ammonium nitrate fertiliser was seized in west London.
