Police in the North have confirmed that they have found what appears to be a body during searches in the Sion Mills area. It is thought the development may be linked to the search for Attracta Harron.
Ms Harron, a 65-year-old retired librarian from Strabane, Co Tyrone, disappeared on 11 December last year.
She had attended mass in Lifford, just across the border in Donegal, but never returned home.
The disappearance of the mother of five sparked a major police operation on both sides of the border, with Gardai and PSNI teams searching rivers and countryside in the area.
Nine days ago, a 21-year-old man, from Sion Mills near Strabane, was charged with the murder of Attracta Harron.
A PSNI detective told the court there was forensic evidence to connect the accused to the murder.
