A 20-year-old Palestinian militant died today after Israeli troops opened fire on a car in a refugee camp in the northern West Bank, according to medical sources.
Rami Khalili, a member of the armed wing of the radical Islamic Jihad movement, was one of eight people injured in the incident.
The eight were hit when Israeli forces opened fire in the refugee camp where people were paying respects to a fighter from another radical faction, Hamas, who was shot dead after he killed a Jewish settler in the nearby settlement of Avnei Hefetz in the early hours of Saturday.
