Ariel Sharon Denies any wrongdoing
Israel's chief prosecutor has officially recommended that the Prime Minister, Ariel Sharon, be indicted in a corruption scandal that could drive him from office.
It is reported it could take up to two months for Israel's Attorney General to decide whether or not to put Mr Sharon on trial.
The case centres on payments of hundreds of thousands of dollars by an Israeli land developer to Mr Sharon's son Gilad, for advice on a never-completed project to build a Greek resort.
Mr Sharon was foreign minister at the time, and suspicions focus on whether or not he tried to help win Greek government approval for the enterprise. Mr Sharon has denied any wrongdoing.
