Families of the victims of the 11 September attacks in the US have expressed confidence in the commission inquiring into the atrocities.

Representatives of families of the victims of the 11 September terrorist attacks in the US have expressed confidence in the commission inquiring into the atrocities.

Yesterday, former US counter-terrorism official Richard Clarke told the commission that President George W Bush did not take the threat from al-Qaeda seriously enough, preferring to focus on Iraq.

The White House has rejected Mr Clarke's testimony, but victims' families believe the inquiry is making progress.
