Twin girls among first babies of 2004

A set of twins were among the first New Year babies born in Ireland.

An Armenian woman, Rosanna Ki-Gin-In, gave birth to the baby girls.

The first twin arrived at one minute past midnight and the second came seven minutes later.

The babies were full term and are in good health.
