Tony Blair Acknowledges North difficulties
Speaking at a Downing Street news conference, Mr Blair acknowledged the restoration of powersharing in the North has been made more difficult by the DUP's success in the elections.
However, Mr Blair said that there was no sense that the political situation would lead to a security problem.
Meanwhile, Ulster Unionist leader David Trimble has had what he described as a constructive meeting with the Northern Secretary, Paul Murphy.
The dissident Ulster Unionist MLA, Jeffrey Donaldson, was not part of the party delegation at the talks.
The Ulster Unionists said they told Mr Murphy their primary objectives were to get Republicans to engage in acts of completion, and to see the restoration of the Assembly as soon as possible.
