A man suspected of giving the order that triggered a devastating bomb attack on an Istanbul synagogue two weeks ago has been charged with attempting to violently overthrow the constitutional order.
Legal sources said that Yusuf Polat was arrested at a border crossing into Iran on Tuesday last with a false passport.
Two synagogues were targetted in two attacks during Sabbath prayers on 15 November, claiming the lives of 27 people and injuring more than 300 others. Two assailants were also killed.
