Connacht Ulster MEP, Dana Rosemary Scallon, says that the Mayo community devastated by landslides last week must not be abandoned.
She said it was unacceptable that the Government had ruled out EU Disaster Relief funding.
She said she had petitioned the EU Budget committee today, on behalf of her constituents, asking for disaster funding.
