The UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan has urged the Israeli government to reconsider its decision in principle to expel Yasser Arafat, warning that it would be dangerous and unwise to banish the Palestinian leader.
The issue is expected to be raised when Mr. Annan meets the foreign ministers from Britain, China, France, Russia and the United States - the permanent members of the UN Security Council - in Geneva tommorrow.
