Suspected Taliban members killed in Afghanistan
Saturday, 30 August 2003 20:59In Afghanistan, at least 20 suspected members of the Taliban have been killed in clashes with American and Afghan forces.
The fighting took place yesterday in moutains around 200 miles south of the captial, Kabul. The clashes have been on going for the last week.
One US soldier was killed in an accidental fall during the skirmishes.

Aircraft are continuing to target suspected bases belonging to the Taliban and al-Quaeda.
