He will arrive in Tehran on 9 July.
Iran's national security council chief, Hassan Rowhani, said yesterday he wanted to clear up 'technical problems' noted in an IAEA report which found violations of the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.
The report this month observed that Iran had failed to inform the IAEA of some of its nuclear activities, including the import of uranium in 1991.
The US accuses Iran of using an atomic energy programme as a cover for the secret development of a nuclear arsenal.
Iran refuses to unconditionally sign an additional protocol to the NPT that would give IAEA teams the right to carry out surprise inspections.
