Christian Brothers begin High Court action

The Christian Brothers Congregation has begun High Court proceedings to prevent the commission investigating child abuse from naming deceased members of the order.

The Christian Brothers Congregation has begun High Court proceedings to prevent the Commission investigating child abuse from naming deceased members of the order.

Some 700 allegations are pending against present, former or deceased members of the congregation.

The action is being taken against the Commission, which is headed by Miss Justice Mary Laffoy, the Minister for Education and the Attorney General.
