Three released over Grafton St assault

All three of the men being questioned by gardaí in Dublin in connection with the assault on a librarian in Grafton Street in the city nearly two weeks ago have been released without charge.

The three had been arrested this morning.

Gardaí are sending a file to the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Thirty-five-year old Barry Duggan is still in a critical condition in St James's hospital after suffering serious head injuries in the attack which took place as he wheeled his bicycle on Grafton Street around 1.30am last Sunday week.
