The five people arrested and charged with causing criminal damage to a US naval plane at Shannon airport on 3 February last faced extra charges today at Ennis District court.
Ciaron O'Reilly, Damian Moran, Deidre Clancy, Nuin Dunlop and Karen Fallon, all with addresses in Dublin, were also charged with causing criminal damage to Aer Rianta property at the SRS hangar on the same day.
The court was told that the damage caused was in excess of €100,000 and could be up to €500,000.
Judge Joesph Mangan said he was refusing jurisdiction over the case given the amounts of damage involved and that the cases will be sent to the circuit court.
The five have been remanded on continuing bail until 2 May. Both Nuin Dunlop and Karen Fallon have not consented to bail and remain in prison.
50-year-old Mary Kelly, with an address at the Peace camp at Shannon, who is charged with causing criminal damage estimated to cost €500,000 to a US naval plane at Shannon on 29 January last also appeared at Ennis District court today.
The court was told Gardaí are still awaiting directions from the DPP about how the case will proceed.
Ms Kelly was remanded on continuing bail until 4 April. As part of her bail conditions she is not allowed to enter County Clare.
