Dáil rejects Labour FoI proposal

The Dáil has rejected the Labour Party's bill to delay the Government's proposal to amend the Freedom of Information Act.

Related Stories

Under the Labour proposal, the present Act would have continued in force for another year to allow time for consultations about changes.

On a vote, the Labour bill was rejected by 61 to 51.
