The Dáil has rejected an Opposition motion calling for the immediate withdrawal of landing and refuelling facilities for American military planes at Shannon Airport.

The Dáil has rejected an Opposition motion calling for the immediate withdrawal of landing and refuelling facilities for American military planes at Shannon Airport.

By a margin of 22 votes, the House supported a Government amendment saying the issue would come before the Dail again if military action was initiated against Iraq, with or without a UN Mandate.
