Gardaí and Army personnel involved in the search for the two missing Limerick brothers, Eddie and Kieran Ryan, are growing increasingly pessimistic that they can be found alive.
The search for the brothers is continuing and is concentrating today on the Cratloe Woods area in County Clare, about seven miles from Limerick City.
The search had been concentrating on the Fisherman's Hill area near Meelick in County Clare, as this may have been a natural exit route for the men's abductors.
The gardaí and Army personnel are now hoping to find some trace that the brothers may have been taken along the route towards Cratloe Woods, or some indication that they may still be alive.
The search for the brothers is now in its fifth day.
