Iraq has said that after a month of inspections by UN arms inspectors, nothing has been found to support claims by the US and Britain that Baghdad has weapons of mass destruction.

The Iraqi army officer who is the chief liaison official with the UN inspection team said that 188 sites had been visited so far, but that nothing had been found. He added that Iraq had nothing to hide.

General Hossam Mohammad Amin told a news conference in Baghdad that the inspections had been intrusive and sometimes aggressive.
