A remembrance ceremony has been taking place in Wexford for eight Turkish asylum seekers who were found dead on a freight container in the city a year ago today.
The ceremony is being attended by families of the victims.
Four children between the ages of three and twelve died in the tragedy along with a woman and three men. Five others survived.
The group had endured 53 hours in a packed freight container on a ferry which sailed from the Belgian port of Zeebrugge to Ireland.
The outdoor ceremony is being held in the Drinagh Business Park in Wexford, where the bodies were discovered.
