Preliminary results of the post mortem on the mother of two found dead in Kilkenny city yesterday show that she died of stab wounds to the body.
The body of 36-year-old Christine Quinn was found after a fire at her home.
Ms Quinn was a separated mother of two teenage boys.
Forensic examination of the house is to continue tomorrow. Gardaí say they are following a number of lines of inquiry in what is a full-scale murder investigation.
