Pilot anti-bullying scheme successful

An anti-bullying programme piloted among 800 children at primary schools in County Donegal has resulted in a drop of a quarter in the incidence of bullying at the schools.

An anti-bullying programme piloted among 800 children at primary schools in County Donegal has resulted in a drop of a quarter in the incidence of bullying at the schools.

The figures were released at a conference in Tralee, which is examining the link between school bullying and suicide.

The director of the country's only anti-bullying centre has called for the programme in Donegal to be extended to schools nationwide.
