At least 11 people have been killed by an explosion in the Chechen capital, Grozny. More than 20 others were injured when the blast occurred as a municipal bus drove by a central market in the city.
A local news agency has reported that several of the injured are in a critical condition. Most of the victims were passengers on the Number 7 bus, but it is not known whether or not they were civilians.
Reports say the explosion happened when the bus passed by a remote-controlled landmine. Both Chechen rebels and Russian troops have been known to leave the landmines throughout the capital.
No arrests have been made so far, but a Russian military spokesman has blamed Chechen guerrillas.
