The British Embassy has accused the Fine Gael leader of using incorrect and exaggerated information in recent statements on the Sellafield reprocessing plant in Cumbria.
Enda Kenny FG leader rapped over Sellafield comments
Enda Kenny called on the Government to declare immediate and unconditional "war" on the British nuclear industry.
In a statement this evening, the British Embassy defended Sellafield's safety record. The statement said that Mr Kenny's description of the plant as "apocalyptic" would not raise the debate to the level that it deserved.
