Dr Walsh has proposed that instead of locating one priest in each parish, a team of priests might instead share a single house serving a group of parishes.

Addressing the Annual General Meeting of the National Conference of Priests in Maynooth, he said this new system would combat the isolation and alienation of many clergy.
