An Afghan government minister has said that sizeable amounts of international aid to his country are being misused.
An Afghan government minister has said that sizeable amounts of international aid to his country are being misused.
The country's planning minister, Mohamed Mohaqeq, said that the only way to stop the waste was to ensure that all the aid came through the government, and in particular through his ministry.
€1.8bn has been committed to Afghanistan in international aid this year with a total of €4.5bn from the EU over five years.
