The campaign group, the Peace and Neutrality Alliance, has launched a fundraising appeal to pay for a legal challenge to the second referendum on the Nice Treaty.
The group claims that under the Constitution, the Irish people have already given their final decision on the Treaty in last year's referendum. The group believes a second referendum would be unconstitutional.
PANA estimates that a legal challenge would cost ¤150,000.
The group believes that President Mary McAleese should call a meeting of the Council of State to consider the constitutionality of the referendum legislation.
PANA believe it should be referred to the Supreme Court to decide whether the Irish people can be asked to vote on the same Treaty twice.
