Walsh rules out farmers' weather fund

The Minister for Agriculture has ruled out the setting up of any new fund to help farmers in financial difficulties caused by bad weather because of tight budgetary constraints.

Joe Walsh said that the Government recognised the problem and that there were already existing measures in place to help farmers.

Mr Walsh said that farmers were coping well with problems caused by bad weather.
