Explosion site located on Lord's estate

Police have located what they believe was the site of an explosion early on Wednesday morning near the home of Viscount Brookeborough at Colebrooke in County Fermanagh.

Police have located what they believe was the site of an explosion early on Wednesday morning near the home of Viscount Brookeborough at Colebrooke in County Fermanagh.

They say it left a small crater three and a half feet wide and two feet deep in a bank at the side of a road on the edge of Lord Brookeborough's estate.

Lord Brookeborough is a member of the Policing Board.

In a phone call to a local newspaper, the Continuity IRA claimed responsibility for the blast.

The security operation is now over.
