Dublin INO members in protest over staffing

Updated: 17:17, Thursday, 27 June 2002

Members of the Irish Nurses' Organisation protested at Loughlinstown Hospital in Dublin today.

The protest came after a decision by hospital management to reduce staffing levels on night duty.

The nurses say patient care and their own health and safety are being endangered by the cuts.

According to the INO, the most dependent patients in the hospital - including the elderly immobile - are being affected by the decision to remove four care staff from the night duty roster.
