Eamon Dunphy Will no longer appear on RTÉ's World Cup coverage
RTÉ has suspended soccer analyst Eamon Dunphy from the station's coverage of the World Cup.
In a statement issued following a brief appearance by Mr Dunphy on RTÉ's World Cup programme this morning, RTÉ said Mr Dunphy was being suspended because he was unable to fulfill the terms of his contract.
Mr Dunphy told RTÉ News tonight that he had not been in a fit state to do his work this morning, and he owed RTÉ and the viewers an apology.
