The 13-day mission was delayed by nearly a week due to bad weather and a minor technical problem.

Endeavour has seven crew members on board, including three who will replace the current Space Station crew after a six-month stay.

Astronauts will also carry out spacewalks to add a new base for the station's robot arm and replace a joint on the robot.
