Castro rejects US weapons accusations

The Cuban President, Fidel Castro, has rejected accusations by the Bush administration that his country was developing biological weapons and had shared technology with enemies of the United States.

The Cuban President, Fidel Castro has rejected accusations by the Bush administration that his country was developing biological weapons and had shared technology with enemies of the United States.

He was responding to charges made by the US Under Secretary of State, John Bolton, which would place Cuba among a list of countries described by President Bush as an 'axis of evil.'

President Castro described the charges as a sinister manoeuvre to destroy his country.
