Bus Éireann rejects allegations

Bus Éireann has rejected allegations by a private bus operator that a number of staff received cash for giving out lucrative relief work on nationwide routes.

John Horan, from Mountmellick in County Laois, claims he and his father paid out several thousand pounds to Bus Éireann employees since the early 1990s.

The company says Mr Horan's services were dispensed with because of failure to comply with conditions of contract.
