Five Russian soldiers killed in Chechnya

Five Russian soldiers have been killed in an ambush in Chechnya when their armoured vehicle detonated a mine outside the region's capital Grozny.

According to official figures, more than 3,000 Russian troops and close to 13,000 rebels have been killed since Moscow launched its latest campaign against Chechnya three years ago.
