All the political parties have agreed a Dáil motion calling on the former Fianna Fáil TD, Liam Lawlor, to resign his seat. The motion will be discussed by the Oireachtas tomorrow.

The motion deplores the independent TD's continued failure to cooperate with the Flood Tribunal and regards such a failure as confirmation that his membership of Dáil Éireann is untenable. They are also of the opinion that he should voluntarily resign his membership of the Dáil.

Mr Lawlor is serving a 28-day jail term imposed on him for non-compliance with the Flood Tribunal.
